NAB has launched its newly renovated branch in Yeppoon, Queensland, following a $1.3 million investment aimed at enhancing services in this regional community. The branch, situated in the Bay Plaza Shopping Centre, marks the bank's commitment to maintaining a strong presence in regional Australia.
Branch manager Melissa Cameron expressed her enthusiasm about the opening: "After operating out of a ‘bank in a box’ for the past few months, we’re thrilled be settling into our new home in the Yeppoon community." She further highlighted the importance of the branch by stating, "Our branches, especially those in regional Australia, are more than just buildings; they are cornerstones of the communities we serve. This makeover at the Yeppoon branch means we’re here for the long haul, ready to offer top-notch service to our customers."
NAB, known for its extensive regional network, has invested $41 million in the past year to enhance customer service across its branches. Paul Carter, NAB Personal Bank Executive, emphasized the importance of in-person banking despite the rise of digital transactions. "While the vast majority of transactions are done online, people still value good old-fashioned face to face banking," Mr. Carter said. "That’s why we are thrilled to invest in towns like Yeppoon. Australians appreciate excellent banking apps and online services, but when they need it the most, they want a dedicated team like the one we have at Yeppoon to help them."
The revamped Yeppoon branch includes modern features such as open teller services, rooms equipped with Zoom technology for meetings, a smart ATM in the 24/7 lobby, and a digital bar.
