The Centro Boliviano Americano (CBA) in Santa Cruz will host an upcoming event, Mercadito Made in Bolivia, on March 28 and 29. This marketplace event, organized by the American Spaces program at CBA Santa Cruz, is designed to showcase the work of twenty Bolivian entrepreneurs. It will provide a space for them to display and sell their products, as well as share their experiences with the public.

The featured entrepreneurs have previously participated in exchange programs sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Bolivia, or initiatives led by American Spaces. The event aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Bolivia while promoting local talent and supporting small businesses.

Rebecca Webb, the Counselor for Press, Culture, and Education at the U.S. Embassy in Bolivia, emphasized the event's significance: “Mercadito Made in Bolivia is a unique opportunity to support the creativity and innovative spirit of Bolivian entrepreneurs. Shared prosperity is a key goal in our bilateral relations, and this event reflects our commitment to economic growth in Bolivia and the United States.”

The marketplace will open from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Centro Boliviano Americano Santa Cruz, located on 66 Cochabamba Street, between Ballivián and Sucre Streets. The event will also include a showing of the U.S. film "Joy" on Friday at 7:00 PM as part of the Movie Nights series. The film, based on a true story, illustrates the perseverance required for success in business.

“Movie Nights is an initiative that showcases U.S. culture and cinema. Through this program, we highlight the core values that Bolivia and the United States share, such as the commitment to democracy, freedom of expression, and the entrepreneurial spirit,” Webb added.

The event marks part of the celebration of 175 years of diplomatic relations between Bolivia and the United States, highlighting historic ties of cooperation and growth.
