Fubon Financial Holdings has successfully secured the Taiwan Intellectual Property Management System (TIPS) A-level certification for three consecutive years, demonstrating its dedication to brand management and trademark value enhancement. The Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs awarded this certification during a ceremony held on February 20.

The TIPS initiative, launched by the Industrial Development Bureau in 2005, aims to bolster companies' intellectual property strategies through a fair verification mechanism. In 2020, TIPS integrated with the Corporate Governance Evaluation Mechanism to support enterprises in navigating global economic challenges while focusing on corporate ESG responsibilities.

Richard M. Tsai, Chairman of Fubon Financial Holdings, emphasized that since implementing TIPS in 2021, the company has established a comprehensive trademark management system overseen by a dedicated department. This approach not only strengthens intellectual property rights but also enhances consumer trust and employee brand identification.

Fubon Financial Holdings initiated its "Run For Green" ESG project in 2021 to integrate sustainability into corporate development. The company leads in establishing green trademarks as part of its environmental commitment. "Through the influence of its brand," said Tsai, "Fubon Financial Holdings aspires to foster a positive cycle among industry, environment, and society."

ESG has become integral to corporate strategy beyond social responsibility. Fubon Financial adheres to "Be positive All possible," contributing socially while providing diverse financial products through subsidiaries like Fubon Life and Taipei Fubon Bank.

Since 2015, Fubon's "Sustainable Management ESG Vision Project" has focused on decarbonization and digitalization strategies. Joining RE100 in 2022 marked their renewable energy commitment alongside passing Science Based Targets reviews.

Fubon's consistent performance in international sustainability rankings includes recognition as one of Brand Finance's top 500 sustainable reputation brands for two years running. As it looks ahead, Fubon aims to innovate financial services and deepen ESG strategies towards becoming one of Asia’s leading financial institutions.
