Christoph Johnscher will assume the role of Head of one of the IT departments at KfW Group starting April 1, 2025. He will work alongside Jörg Menzel to oversee IT operations under the “two departments – OneIT” model, which has been successful in driving digital development within the organization.
Johnscher joined KfW in 2002 and has held several management roles since then. His most recent position was leading the IT Security and Compliance Department for about five years. Melanie Kehr, a member of the KfW Executive Board responsible for this area, expressed confidence in Johnscher's capabilities: “Christoph Johnscher is reinforcing KfW IT’s management duo with his extensive experience – not just in IT security. Over many years, he has been an effective contributor to the transformation of KfW’s IT. I wish Christoph and Jörg every success in their future tasks as the heads of IT.”
Johnscher takes over from Cecilia Fernandez de Cordova Carvajal, who departed from KfW by mutual agreement to pursue more technical work due to changes in her personal situation. The Executive Board thanked her for her contributions and wished her well in her future endeavors.
