Siemens has announced the expansion of its Industrial Copilot with a new generative AI-powered maintenance offering. This development aims to support every stage of the maintenance cycle, assisting industries in transitioning from traditional practices to a more intelligent, data-driven approach.
The solution will be implemented through the Senseye Predictive Maintenance solution powered by Microsoft Azure, and it includes two new offerings. The Entry Package offers an accessible introduction to predictive maintenance with AI-powered repair guidance and basic predictive capabilities. It is designed to help businesses transition from reactive to condition-based maintenance, offering limited connectivity for sensor data collection and real-time condition monitoring.
The Scale Package is tailored for enterprises aiming for a complete transformation of their maintenance strategy. It integrates Senseye Predictive Maintenance with full Maintenance Copilot functionality, allowing customers to predict failures before they occur, maximize uptime, and reduce costs using AI-driven insights.
Margherita Adragna, CEO Customer Services at Siemens Digital Industries stated: “This expansion of our Industrial Copilot marks a significant step in our mission to transform maintenance operations.” She added that extending predictive maintenance solutions enables industries to shift seamlessly from reactive to proactive strategies.
Siemens' new offering aims to cover the entire maintenance cycle—from reactive repair to predictive and preventive strategies—by leveraging generative AI-driven insights that enhance decision-making and efficiency across industrial environments. Initial pilot use cases have shown that the Industrial Copilot for maintenance can save on average 25% of reactive maintenance time.
This initiative reflects Siemens' ongoing commitment to advancing digitalized industry by providing customers with an integrated approach that ensures long-term operational success.
