Reactive Technologies has announced the integration of Siemens' Gridscale X software, PSSE, to enhance its grid stability monitoring capabilities. This collaboration aims to improve visibility into grid stability challenges by utilizing Siemens’ advanced software.

Marc Borrett, CEO of Reactive Technologies, highlighted the significance of power system simulations in their research and development process. He stated, “Power system simulations are a critical early-stage step in Reactive Technologies’ Research and Development process. The combination of real-world direct measurement data captured by our technology, and the power of Siemens’ PSSE software now allow grid operators to simulate various network scenarios and drive data insights. As we transition to a resilient, low-carbon power grid future, this is vital as it provides actionable results for them to unlock the grid capacity by mitigating risks, reducing curtailments and planning more renewable resources assets.”

Magnus Torronen, Head of Siemens Grid Software Northern Europe, emphasized the global impact of Reactive Technologies' expertise: “ReactiveTechnologies is demonstrating its value and deep expertise not only in the UKbut all around the world through its projects. PSSE, part of Gridscale X software, now enhances this offering at a timewhen the market is eager for high quality, accurate data to help planinvestment. The collaboration between Siemens and partners like ReactiveTechnologies is a vital part of how we develop the grid of the future both inthe UK and internationally. We share the same main goals of streamlining andaccelerating the power sector’s transition to zero-carbon energy.”

Siemens’ Gridscale X offers modular software designed for autonomous grid management. It supports digital transformation on a large scale while addressing pressing challenges in energy transition efficiently. This initiative is part of Siemens Xcelerator platform.
