Karen B. Sullivan, Deputy Chief of Mission | U.S. Embassy in Barbados/Grenada

A Consular Officer from the U.S. Embassy will be visiting the British Virgin Islands to process applications for U.S. passports and Consular Reports of Birth Abroad by appointment only. The visit, scheduled for March 25, 2025, at the Roseau Public Library in Saint Vincent, will not address visa-related inquiries or issues.

Applicants are reminded that all applications must be prepaid online as bank drafts and other forms of payment are no longer accepted. Payments can be made through specified online platforms before appointments.

Appointments are necessary for each applicant and can be scheduled via https://bb.usembassy.gov/consular-outreach-visits-for-u-s-citizen-services. Walk-ins or individuals accompanying those with appointments cannot be accommodated.

Applicants need to bring a completed passport application form, two passport-size photos, original proof of U.S. citizenship along with a social security card, a prepaid air waybill for passport delivery, printed proof of online payment, and photocopies of all documents including the current passport if applicable.

Children under 16 require additional documentation such as their birth certificate and identification from both parents. If both parents cannot appear in person with the child, a notarized Form DS-3053 is required from the non-applying parent.

Payments must be made online prior to appointments using designated links for different forms: DS-11 or DS-82. Fees vary depending on the service requested: US$135 for a child's passport (under age 16), US$165 for an adult's first passport (age 16+), US$100 for a Consular Report of Birth Abroad, and US$50 per signature for notarials.

Renewal applicants presenting a previous 10-year passport issued less than 15 years ago may apply by mail directly to the Embassy with a fee of US$130. Otherwise, they must appear in person with a fee of US$165.
