Siemens Smart Infrastructure has introduced the Building X Portfolio Manager, a new tool designed to streamline building management for enterprises. This modular and serverless application serves as a comprehensive resource for portfolio managers overseeing large corporations or facility management companies with diverse locations and needs.

The Building X Portfolio Manager allows users to track, manage, and optimize assets in various settings such as commercial buildings, hospitals, universities, business campuses, airports, and ports. It enables managers to monitor building performance, energy consumption, asset utilization, operational efficiency, maintenance schedules, energy use optimization, carbon emissions, sustainability metrics, and regulatory compliance. The tool aims to support corporate sustainability goals by providing insights into operational costs and financial returns.

Susanne Seitz, CEO of Siemens Smart Infrastructure Buildings stated: “At the intersection of the real and the digital worlds, we are accelerating the transformation of buildings – empowering our customers with software and data-driven services that redefine efficiency, sustainability, and innovation across every vertical we serve. The launch of Building X Portfolio Manager is an important step in this direction.”

The application features Advanced Emissions Reporting and ESG Compliance capabilities that generate emissions audits quarterly or annually to enhance transparency and accountability. As an extension of Siemens' existing Building X platform within Siemens Xcelerator's open digital business framework, it offers seamless data acquisition from various sources. Configurable dashboards cater to different user roles including C-suite executives and facility operators.

Currently being deployed across 1,300 Siemens sites in 60 countries worldwide; it will be available on the market starting May 2025. Visitors can explore Building X at Siemens booth D53 in hall 9 during Hanover Fair from March 31 to April 4.
