BMO and 1871 have announced the opening of applications for the sixth annual WMNfintech program. This initiative aims to support startup founders in developing innovative financial services and solutions. Since its inception, WMNfintech has become North America's largest network of women-founded and women-led startups, providing entrepreneurs with a strong support system to grow their businesses.
Andrew Harrison, Head of Emerging Partnerships and the Digital Innovation Fund at BMO, expressed enthusiasm for welcoming the 2025 cohort into WMNfintech's business ecosystem. "Supporting the success of businesses, small, medium or large is central to BMO's purpose," he stated.
The program will select five startups to benefit from tailored resources such as guidance from BMO industry experts, a specialized curriculum on various business aspects, membership to 1871 with access to its resources, and opportunities for networking and mentorship.
The program will run from May to August 2025, featuring four weeks of immersive curriculum sessions. Participants will also attend exclusive events across major U.S. cities including New York City, Chicago, Austin, Las Vegas, and San Francisco.
