On March 11, the Cinemateca Boliviana in La Paz will host an event titled "Mercadito Made in Bolivia," where 19 Bolivian entrepreneurs will display and sell their products. This marketplace is supported by the U.S. Embassy in Bolivia and aims to promote local creativity and talent. It serves as a platform for alumni of U.S. Department of State exchange programs who now manage small businesses across various sectors.

Rebecca Webb, the U.S. Embassy Counselor for Press, Culture, and Education, stated: “Mercadito Made in Bolivia is an open invitation to discover local talent and strengthen ties between Bolivia and the United States through entrepreneurship and creativity. Supporting entrepreneurs fosters innovation, creates jobs, and drives economic growth—values that Bolivia and the United States deeply share.”

The event at Cinemateca Boliviana, situated at Rosendo Gutierrez and Oscar Soria streets, will run from 3:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Visitors can explore diverse business ventures presented at different stands.

In addition to the marketplace activities, there will be a special screening of the film "Joy" at 7:00 PM. The film showcases perseverance and resilience—qualities vital for entrepreneurs—and is part of the U.S. Embassy Movie Nights program. The screening is free with complimentary popcorn and refreshments provided; however, due to limited seating, early arrival is advised.

Continuing its support for entrepreneurship, the U.S. Embassy will distribute reusable shopping bags for attendees to fill with unique products from exhibitors. The event will also include raffles and surprises designed to create a dynamic environment that encourages entrepreneurship and supports local production.
