Mission Germany is providing DNA services for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), immigrant visa, and citizenship cases. When a recommendation for DNA testing is made by USCIS or a Consular Officer as part of an immigration, immigrant visa, or citizenship application, applicants will receive further instructions.
For cases managed on behalf of USCIS, the relevant office provides guidance directly. In contrast, for citizenship and immigrant visa cases, the consular section issues instructions if DNA testing is advised.
Applicants are instructed to adhere strictly to the directions given by the requesting office and the accredited DNA testing facility.
The process involves an accredited laboratory sending DNA testing kits to the United States Consulate General in Frankfurt. Once these kits arrive, applicants will be notified via email about their scheduled date and time for testing. Typically, DNA testing occurs monthly on a Wednesday afternoon.
