Every day, women play a vital role in inspiring, supporting, and strengthening their families, communities, and the nation. In recognition of these contributions, Women's History Month serves as an opportunity to celebrate the significant impact women have on the United States.
President Donald J. Trump has issued a proclamation honoring American women from all generations and backgrounds for their integral role in the nation's prosperity and productivity. "The First Lady and I honor American women from all generations and all backgrounds who have been integral to our prosperity and productivity," he stated.
The President expressed pride in acknowledging female trailblazers within his administration. He highlighted their leadership across various sectors including business, policy, national security, law, and public service. "Together, we are working to honor the women in our history," he said.
The proclamation outlines steps taken by the administration to protect women's rights. It includes an Executive Order signed on day one recognizing biological distinctions between men and women. This order led to changes in government documentation practices regarding gender markers. Additionally, efforts have been made to safeguard women's sports through Title IX actions directed at schools that fail to ensure fair competition for female athletes.
"By fulfilling my promise to protect women and girls from gender extremism we have brought back common sense to society," President Trump remarked. He emphasized that nearly 80 percent of Americans support these measures.
In addition to focusing on women's rights, the administration is also addressing issues such as border security, economic rebuilding, school choice, healthcare improvements, and access to in vitro fertilization.
President Trump concluded with a call for Americans to celebrate exceptional women throughout March 2025: "I call on all Americans to celebrate the exceptional women in their lives and around our country."
This proclamation was signed by President Trump on March 6th as part of ongoing efforts to recognize the achievements of American women.
