US Embassy seeks taxi service providers for IDIQ contract

The United States Embassy in Budapest is seeking proposals from qualified taxi service providers for an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The contract aims to deliver reliable and professional transportation services for government personnel. The initial performance period is set to begin on April 1, 2025, and conclude on March 31, 2026, with the possibility of two additional option years.

The scope of services includes providing taxi transportation for government employees and authorized individuals traveling to and from various government facilities and events in Budapest and its surrounding areas. Providers must maintain a fleet of well-maintained, insured, and licensed vehicles available around the clock to meet both emergency and non-emergency needs. Drivers are expected to be timely, professional, and experienced in working within government-related environments.

Key requirements for proposers include being licensed, insured, and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations. Contractors should have the capacity to handle multiple simultaneous bookings efficiently. An established business presence with a permanent address and telephone listing in Hungary is required. Proficiency in written and spoken English is necessary. Experience in serving government or corporate clients is preferred. All vehicles must adhere to cleanliness and safety standards.

Additionally, contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database prior to contract award as per FAR provision 5.207.
