Siemens and Mennekes have announced a partnership aimed at simplifying the planning process for sustainable eMobility charging infrastructure. This collaboration leverages Siemens' Simaris planning tools to enhance the preliminary planning steps necessary for reliable energy distribution in e-charging infrastructures.
The partnership will integrate Mennekes' e-charging solutions with Siemens' Simaris tools, which are designed to automate the design of all components and systems required for e-charging infrastructure. These tools automatically consider relevant standards, create easy-to-use planning documents, specifications for tenders, and provide budgeting assistance. Furthermore, they offer Building Information Modeling (BIM) data to facilitate smooth data exchange, allowing early consideration of charging infrastructure in digital twin models. The Simaris tools also enable projects and data to be shared, exported, and imported efficiently.
Andreas Matthé, CEO of Electrical Products at Siemens Smart Infrastructure, expressed enthusiasm about this development: “We are excited that Mennekes is the first external partner in our Simaris ecosystem, giving customers direct access to their product portfolio. This will make power distribution planning for eMobility infrastructure even simpler.”
Christopher Mennekes, CEO of Mennekes, commented on the longstanding commitment of his company: “For years, we have been offering not just customized charging solutions but also a wide range of services for planners. By partnering with Siemens and integrating our charging infrastructure into Simaris, we are continuing along this path and making day-to-day work easier for planners.”
