The U.S. Embassy in Budapest has announced a tender for professional moving services within the city and its surrounding areas. The contract will cover various activities, including loading and unloading vehicles, packing, assembling and disassembling furniture, wall installations, site cleaning, and local delivery of household effects and office items. The service period is scheduled from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, with an option for two additional years.

Eligible vendors are invited to submit proposals if they meet specific criteria. These include proficiency in English, an established business presence with a permanent address and contact information, necessary personnel and equipment resources, compliance with local licenses and permits requirements, insurance coverage adherence to local laws, no adverse criminal records or conflicting political or business affiliations with U.S. interests, and proven experience with positive past performance records.

The application window is open from March 4 until March 19 of this year. Companies interested in participating will receive the solicitation package via email on March 19. A site visit or pre-quotation meeting is scheduled for March 24.

Quotations must be submitted by March 28. Additionally, all contractors must register in the System for Award Management (SAM) database before any contract award can be made according to FAR provision 5.207.

Prospective offerors are encouraged to complete their SAM registration early to avoid delays in awarding contracts to successful bidders. Registration requires a DUNS number and NCAGE code but incurs no cost.
