The U.S. Embassy in Budapest is seeking qualified contractors for construction work at its Chancery building, located at 12 Szabadság tér, 1054 Budapest, Hungary. The project involves the demolition, supply, and installation of A/C chilled water systems piping from the North Chancery basement to the North Chancery Attic Mechanical room 2. The estimated value of this construction effort is “between $25,000 and $100,000,” with a completion deadline set for June 2025.

Interested firms must be technically qualified and financially responsible to submit a proposal. Requirements include having an established business with a permanent address and telephone listing in Hungary, proficiency in English, necessary personnel and equipment, financial resources to perform the work, good experience and past performance records, prior construction experience with suitable references, all licenses and permits required by Hungarian law, meeting insurance requirements, no adverse criminal record or political/business affiliations contrary to U.S. interests. Additionally, they must accept daily liquidated damages and NET30 payment terms.
