Marco Rubio, the Secretary of State, announced a significant move to accelerate military assistance to Israel. On March 1, 2025, Rubio signed a declaration that will use emergency authorities to expedite the delivery of approximately $4 billion in military aid to the country.
This decision marks a reversal of the Biden Administration’s partial arms embargo, which had restricted certain weapons and ammunition from reaching Israel. Rubio emphasized that this change signifies strong support for Israel from President Trump, stating: "Israel has no greater ally in the White House than President Trump."
Since President Trump took office, his administration has approved nearly $12 billion in major Foreign Military Sales (FMS) to Israel. The recent decision aligns with Trump's repeal of a previous memorandum from the Biden era. This memorandum had imposed conditions on military assistance to Israel during its conflict with Iran and terror proxies.
The Trump Administration remains committed to utilizing all available resources to uphold America's long-standing promise to ensure Israel's security and counter potential threats.
