Marco Rubio, the Secretary of State, has issued a statement extending his best wishes to Muslim communities both in the United States and globally as Ramadan begins. He highlighted that Ramadan is a period marked by renewal, introspection, service, and generosity within the Muslim faith.

Rubio also noted that this time allows communities to unite and celebrate Iftars with a spirit of kinship and peace.

"Ramadan is a time of renewal, introspection, service, and generosity in the Muslim faith," he stated. "It is also a time for communities to come together to celebrate Iftars in a spirit of kinship and peace."
