On February 15, 2025, a career fair was held in Turkmenabat, organized by the U.S. Embassy Ashgabat, Turkmenabat American Corner, and Lebap Regional Library. The event was conducted in collaboration with the Lebap Velayat Hakimlik and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The fair showcased exhibits and booths offering resources on career paths in science, technology, and innovation. Interactive displays were dedicated to eLibraryUSA, AI, robotics, 3D-printing, and Virtual Reality. Over 800 visitors attended the event to explore these interactive booths and enhance their skills in interviewing and resume writing.
Local organizations participated in the fair including Turkmenabat Chemical Plant named after S.A. Niyazov, Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after Seyitnazar Seydi, Turkmenabat Medical School, Red Crescent Society, Zehin Yoly Language and Creativity Center, along with several local entrepreneurs.
Deputy Chief of Mission Andrew Berdy emphasized the importance of such events: “Career fairs are important because they provide a unique platform for young people to explore various career paths, gain insights into different industries, and connect with professionals who can offer guidance and mentorship.”
