Barclays appoints new managing directors for financial sponsors group

Barclays has announced the appointment of Isobel van Daesdonk and Scott Willard as Managing Directors within its Financial Sponsors Group. Both will be based in New York and report to Christian Oberle, who heads the Americas Financial Sponsors Group at Barclays.

Isobel van Daesdonk brings 25 years of experience in investment banking. She joins from Guggenheim Securities, where she served as a Senior Managing Director in Financial Sponsors Investment Banking. Her previous roles include two decades at Deutsche Bank in London and New York, where she held various positions across Investment Banking coverage and Equity Capital Markets. Ms. van Daesdonk has established relationships with major clients such as Bain, Roark, and New Mountain Capital.

Scott Willard also joins Barclays with over 20 years of experience in investment banking. He has worked with Private Equity and Alternative Asset Manager clients at institutions including Deutsche Bank, UBS, and most recently Nomura Securities. Mr. Willard is known for his connections with prominent clients like CD&R, CVC, and KKR.
