Both leaders reaffirmed their dedication to implementing a ceasefire in Gaza and securing the release of hostages held by Hamas, including American citizens. Secretary Rubio stressed the significance of establishing arrangements in Gaza that enhance regional security.
Furthermore, they explored ways to advance mutual interests across Syria, Lebanon, and other parts of the region. Topics included Red Sea security and ensuring freedom of navigation.
