The Peace Corps is seeking to lease a long-term housing option in Hanoi, Vietnam. The desired property should be a townhouse or private house with at least six bedrooms and five bathrooms. The agency specifies that the location should be in neighborhoods near West Lake and Hoan Kiem areas of Hanoi, such as Tay Ho, Ba Dinh, Thuy Khue, Ciputra, Hoan Kiem, and Westlake. The Ciputra Compound is highlighted as a preferred area.
The required accommodation must support a minimum of six people and include features such as a bedroom and bathroom on the first or second floor. Additionally, it should have a living room, dining room, kitchen, service/laundry/garden area, storage area, large garden for children's play, and parking space for motorbikes and bicycles. A minimum living space of 400 square meters is also necessary.
The property needs to be available for occupancy from July 1, 2025. It should be in good condition with the possibility for security and safety enhancements as needed by the Peace Corps.
"Those properties that meet the minimum requirements will be further evaluated by the following criteria: general security of the property/neighborhood, overall quality/condition of the property, ease of maintenance/upkeep of the property, space layout of the rooms, location of the property," according to their notice.
Property owners or brokers interested in this opportunity are asked to respond by emailing pnguyen@peacecorps.gov. They need to include descriptions of available properties along with availability dates and proposed rental rates.
Submissions will begin review starting April 1, 2025. Consideration will continue until an appropriate property is identified.
