Sun Life has announced the appointment of Georgina Farrell as Chief Human Resources Officer for Asia, effective May 1, 2025. In her new role, Farrell will focus on driving Sun Life’s talent and culture strategy in the region, emphasizing talent development, organizational growth, and employee engagement to support the company's expansion goals in Asia.
Farrell joins Sun Life from RSA, where she served as Chief People Officer for the UK, Ireland, and Europe. She brings over 20 years of experience in HR leadership roles across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Her track record includes building high-performing teams and aligning people initiatives with business priorities to foster growth.
Manjit Singh, President of Sun Life Asia, expressed enthusiasm about Farrell's appointment: “We are delighted to welcome Georgina to Sun Life. Based at Sun Life’s regional headquarters in Hong Kong, Farrell will join both the Asia Executive Team and HR Executive Team. She will report directly to Helena Pagano, EVP & Chief People & Culture Officer at Sun Life, as well as Manjit Singh.
Farrell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Politics from University College Dublin along with a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Dublin Institute of Technology.
