The United States Embassy in Lima is set to hold an online auction for surplus items owned by the US Government. The auction will feature IT equipment, household and office furniture, appliances, and other miscellaneous items.
The online event will take place from February 21 to 23, 2025. Payment notifications will be sent on February 24, with item pickups scheduled from February 25 to 27 in Santiago de Surco, Callao, and Villa El Salvador.
To participate in the auction, interested parties must register at https://online-auction.state.gov. After registration confirmation via email, users can log in to view active auctions under "Lima, PE." Bidders must accept terms by clicking the "Subscription" button at the page's bottom. All bids are made in US dollars and awarded to the highest bidder.
"Winners will be informed on Monday, February 24, 2024," with details on payment procedures. Payments are required via bank transfer in Soles using the exchange rate provided by the Embassy for this auction.
By participating in this auction organized by "the U.S. Embassy in Lima," bidders agree to comply with specific terms and conditions. Information about available lots will be published on the official website; however, these descriptions do not guarantee item condition or functionality. Payment must be completed within twenty-four hours of notification through a bank transfer denominated exclusively in Peruvian Soles (PEN). Proof of payment is necessary before collection of purchased items can occur.
Collection dates are tentative but communicated upon verification of payment. Winning bidders must arrange their own transportation as no assistance is provided by the Embassy during collection. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance is mandatory during pickup.
Failure to collect awarded lots within designated times results in forfeiture without refund or recourse. The winning bidder bears responsibility for any incidents during collection due to negligence or misconduct.
