The U.S. Embassy in Athens and its Consular Section, along with the U.S. Consulate General in Thessaloniki and all U.S. Government offices in Greece, will not operate on Monday, February 17, 2025. This closure is in observance of Presidents’ Day, a holiday that celebrates the birthdays of former U.S. Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

"U.S. Embassy & Consulate will be closed on Monday," states the official announcement regarding the closure.
