The dialogue also addressed the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, stressing the necessity for Hamas to release all hostages, including American citizens. Secretary Rubio conveyed gratitude to President Sheikh Mohamed for the UAE's humanitarian efforts in Gaza and stressed the importance of preventing Hamas from governing Gaza or posing a threat to Israel again. Both parties expressed support for halting hostilities in Lebanon.
