Ambassador Hankins, TPC President Leslie Voltaire, Haitian National Police (HNP) Director Rameau Normil, and Multinational Security Support (MSS) mission’s Force Commander Godfrey Otunge gathered at the HNP headquarters to announce the delivery of additional critical equipment. This donation was made by the Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
The new supplies are part of ongoing contributions from INL to support the MSS mission working with the HNP in their efforts against criminal gangs. The donated items include armored personal carriers, various types of loaders, weapons, ammunition, day cabs, and other materials.
"A well-equipped HNP and MSS mission is critical to continuing the fight against gangs who aim to destabilize the country and feed their own selfish, criminal interests at the expense of fellow Haitians," a statement emphasized.
The United States remains committed to supporting Haiti in achieving stability through a Haitian-led political solution via free and fair elections.
