The Millennium Challenge Account-Lesotho II Authority (MCA-Lesotho II) has announced the appointment of sixteen individuals to its Board of Directors. This board, composed of leaders and experts from various sectors, is tasked with providing strategic guidance and ensuring governance for the implementation of the compact.

The board includes ten government officials representing ministries such as Finance and Development Planning, Agriculture, Health, Local Government, Natural Resources, Trade, Public Service, Law and Justice, Defense, and others. The private sector is represented by members from the Lesotho Chamber of Commerce and other business networks. Civil society organizations are also represented by umbrella bodies advocating for youth, people with disabilities, and farmers.

Ms. Maleshoane Lekomola-Danziger has been appointed as Chairperson of the Board. She currently serves as Budget Controller at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning. With a Masters in International Economics and Trade and a Bachelors in Economics with a minor in Statistics, Ms. Lekomola-Danziger brings 19 years of experience in finance roles within the government.

Her background includes public financial management focusing on budget administration and policy formulation among other areas. Her appointment highlights the government's commitment to improving lives in Lesotho with an emphasis on empowering women and youth.
