If you have not received your February Social Security benefit payment, it may be due to the suspension of benefits because of the non-receipt of the Foreign Enforcement Questionnaire. Beneficiaries who receive payments in their own name need to submit form SSA-7162, while those receiving through a representative payee must submit form SSA-7161.

To reinstate suspended benefits, beneficiaries should contact Social Security by phone at 809-368-7011 from Monday to Thursday between 9:00 AM and 12:00 Noon or by email at FBU.Santo.Domingo@ssa.gov. A telephone number for follow-up contact should be included in the email. Benefits are expected to be reinstated approximately seven business days after receipt or attestation of the required form.

Beneficiaries under 90 years old whose SSN ends between 50 and 99 do not need to send a questionnaire immediately, as forms will be mailed out between June and July 2025. If these individuals have an official U.S. address on record, they can disregard this message.

In other updates related to the Social Security Fairness Act concerning the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and Government Pension Offset (GPO), individuals with partially or completely offset benefits are advised only to verify their current mailing address and direct deposit information if changes have occurred. This can typically be done online through a personal my Social Security account at www.ssa.gov/myaccount.

For those who have not previously filed for Social Security benefits but are receiving a public pension and wish to file for benefits, applications can be submitted online at ssa.gov/apply or appointments can be scheduled.

Further information is available on the Regional Federal Benefits Unit (FBU) page, or by contacting the Federal Benefits Unit directly via email at FBU.Santo.Domingo@ssa.gov.
