Morgan Stanley Wealth Management is set to host the 16th annual Go Red Women’s Leadership event in collaboration with the American Heart Association (AHA) – Westchester and Fairfield Counties. The event will take place both virtually and in person on Friday, February 7 at 8:00 a.m. EST at Morgan Stanley’s Purchase, NY offices.
The event continues Morgan Stanley's support of the Go Red for Women campaign, which aims to empower women against heart disease. Vince Lumia, Managing Director and Head of Wealth Management Client Segments at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, emphasized the importance of this initiative: “Unfortunately, heart disease remains the leading cause of death among women in the U.S. I’m grateful to the AHA for their continued collaboration in events like these which allow us to align with causes that are important to our clients and the greater community.”
This year’s program includes a "Heart-to-Heart" conversation featuring actress Christine Baranski. She will be interviewed by Caroline N. Gundeck from Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.
The event will be hosted by Sandra L. Richards and Terri Ferri from Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. Attendees can expect a heart-healthy breakfast and remarks from Vince Lumia and Dr. Cara Pensabene of the American Heart Association.
Kristen Alouisa, Executive Director at AHA Westchester & Fairfield Counties, highlighted prevention: "We know that a majority of cardiovascular diseases are preventable. The key is empowering women through education and awareness to make choices that can keep them healthy longer.” She praised Morgan Stanley's commitment over 16 years.
The American Heart Association was founded in 1924 as a health organization focused on combating heart disease and stroke through research, education, and advocacy.
