The U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi is continuing its efforts to support female empowerment within law enforcement through specialized training programs across Georgia. From May 17 to 21, the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Bureau (INL) of the U.S. Embassy hosted a Women’s Leadership Skills Development training session in Batumi, Georgia.

This program aimed at female law enforcement professionals included participants from various regional offices such as the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Finance, and State Security Service of Georgia. The training covered topics including personality styles, emotional intelligence, and the differences between management and leadership.

Larry Foukas, INL Senior Police Advisor, led the sessions. The U.S. Embassy has stated its commitment to promoting female participation in decision-making roles within the justice sector by providing such targeted professional growth opportunities for Georgian women in law enforcement.
