German citizens interested in joining the Global Entry program can now start their application process. The first step involves completing a Trusted Traveler Programs (TTP) online application and paying a non-refundable fee of $100. Once the application is submitted, each account will receive a membership ID or PASSID number.

Following this, applicants must visit one of the German Federal Police locations to provide their PASSID number and complete the necessary background checks conducted by the German authorities.

The collaboration between U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Germany aims to streamline travel for German citizens entering the United States by offering expedited clearance through automatic kiosks at select airports.
