Secretary of State Marco Rubio is set to embark on a diplomatic tour from February 1-6, visiting Panama, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic. The trip aims to further President Trump's America First foreign policy.

During his visit, Secretary Rubio will engage with senior officials and business leaders in each country. The discussions are expected to focus on regional cooperation concerning several key issues. These include addressing illegal and large-scale migration, combating transnational criminal organizations and drug trafficking, countering China's influence, and strengthening economic partnerships to boost prosperity in the hemisphere.

Tammy Bruce, Department Spokesperson for the U.S., announced the details of Secretary Rubio's travel itinerary on January 31.
