The World Bank Group is in the process of developing a new Country Partnership Framework (CPF) for Bhutan, which will cover the fiscal years 2025 to 2029. This framework aims to guide the World Bank Group's support for Bhutan over the next four years, aligning with the country's development and growth objectives.

The CPF is designed to be in harmony with Bhutan's Government's 13th Five Year Plan and informed by the World Bank’s latest Systematic Country Diagnostic. The main objective of this CPF is to assist Bhutan in building a more inclusive and resilient economy, focusing on creating better job opportunities, particularly for youth and women.

To ensure that the CPF effectively supports Bhutan's development vision, as outlined in its 13th Five Year Plan, the World Bank Group has started consultations with various stakeholders. These consultations aim to gather opinions and feedback on how best to engage with Bhutan to provide maximum value.

Citizens are encouraged to participate in an online survey divided into three parts. Additionally, in partnership with Bhutan's Ministry of Finance, a series of consultation workshops have been scheduled with different groups including civil society organizations (CSOs), academia, editors, youth, private sector representatives, government officials, parliamentarians, and development partners. These face-to-face meetings will occur on February 3rd and 4th, 2025. Meanwhile, an ongoing online consultation is available for the general public.

The World Bank Group invites everyone to share their views through these channels as part of preparing the Country Partnership Framework for Bhutan from FY 25-29.
