Secretary Rubio has temporarily halted all U.S. foreign assistance funded by or through the State Department and USAID for a review. This action aligns with President Trump's Executive Order on Reevaluating and Realigning United States Foreign Aid. The purpose of this review is to ensure that all foreign assistance programs are efficient and consistent with U.S. foreign policy under the America First agenda.
The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad has issued a call for proposals from eligible organizations to implement projects. Detailed descriptions of these projects and instructions on how to apply can be found in the Notice Of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs).
