The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Europe District is set to host an event titled "Event for Industry: Working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers" in Warsaw, Poland. The event will take place on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, starting at 8:30 a.m.
Media representatives are invited to cover the opening remarks by officials from the U.S. Embassy and the Polish government beginning at 9:30 a.m., followed by an overview of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at 9:45 a.m.
To attend, media personnel must submit accreditation requests by noon on Monday, December 3 via the provided website link. Accredited TV cameras should arrive no later than 8:45 a.m., while print media should be present by 9:00 a.m. It is important to note that multboxes will not be available at the venue.
The event will be held at the Warsaw Marriott Hotel located at Al. Jerozolimskie 65/79, Warsaw.
The purpose of this gathering is to inform potential contractors—both Polish and international—on how to effectively compete for U.S. military construction contracts and understand applicable U.S. laws. Additionally, it aims to assist contractors with timely registration in U.S. government systems and provide networking opportunities.
This marks USACE's second industry-focused event in Poland; the first was held in 2015 with support from Polish governmental bodies as part of preparations for Aegis-Ashore Missile Defense projects currently underway in Redzikowo.
Upcoming projects managed by USACE Europe District involve collaborations with various branches such as the U.S. Army (USA), Air Force (USAF), Navy (USN), NATO, and other Department of Defense entities aimed at enhancing infrastructure and interoperability between U.S., Polish, and NATO forces across Poland.
