The Embassy, as part of its "100 Lat Razem" initiative to commemorate Poland's rebirth in 1918 and the support from the United States, is sponsoring the Paderewski Birthday Concert. The event is scheduled for November 18 at 3:00 pm at the Muzeum Wnętrz in Otwock Wielki. This concert is made possible by the collaboration with the Otwock Wielki branch of the National Museum of Warsaw.
Performances will include viola musician Marek Bugajski and pianists Joanna Maklakiewicz and Mischa Kozłowski, who will play on a historic Steinway piano once owned by Jan Ignacy Paderewski. Vocal performances will feature soprano Bogumiła Dziel-Wawrowska and tenor Krzystof Ciupiński-Świątek.
The concert forms part of a creative artistic program by the Piotr Janowski Foundation and Teatr Ateneum, which receives support from the Embassy. This program aims to convey the history of Polish-American diplomatic relations through Jan Ignacy Paderewski, noted as a Polish statesman, composer, and virtuoso pianist.
"The Embassy is proud to partner with the Piotr Janowski Foundation and Teatr Ateneum on this and related events," stated an Embassy spokesperson. Admission to this event is free, taking place at ul. Zamkowa 49, Karczew. Guests interested in attending can register via www.facebook.com/paderewski3X100.
