On October 30, Embassy officials met with staff responsible for establishing the Warsaw Ghetto Museum, which is expected to open in 2023. The meeting included the Embassy’s Public Affairs Counselor Frank Finver, Cultural Attaché Dan Hastings, and Cultural Specialist Beata Milewska. They discussed the project's background and the Polish government's efforts to preserve a historic building that will house the museum within what was once the Warsaw Ghetto.

The discussion also addressed a recent tragedy in Pittsburgh, emphasizing a shared commitment to promoting education and dialogue about the Holocaust. Both parties highlighted "the importance of promoting universal values of tolerance and understanding with new generations."

After the meeting, museum staff led the Embassy officials on a tour of the former Bersohn and Bauman Children’s Hospital. This historic site provided emergency medical assistance during the 1944 Warsaw Uprising and is adjacent to one of the last fragments of the wall that enclosed the Warsaw Ghetto.
