President Trump has announced a series of cabinet and cabinet-level appointments. The nominations were presented to the Senate for confirmation.
The President nominated Scott Bessent from South Carolina for Secretary of the Treasury, while Pamela Bondi from Florida was chosen as Attorney General. Douglas Burgum of North Dakota is set to become Secretary of the Interior, and Lori Chavez-DeRemer from Oregon was nominated for Secretary of Labor.
Douglas Collins from Georgia was nominated for Secretary of Veterans Affairs, with Sean Duffy from Wisconsin selected as Secretary of Transportation. Peter Hegseth from Tennessee is proposed as Secretary of Defense, and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., from California was chosen for Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Howard Lutnick from New York is nominated for Secretary of Commerce, and Linda McMahon from Connecticut was picked for Secretary of Education. Kristi Noem from South Dakota is slated to be Secretary of Homeland Security, while Brooke Rollins from Texas was named as the nominee for Secretary of Agriculture.
Marco Rubio from Florida received the nomination for Secretary of State, and Eric Turner from Texas is set to be the next Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. Christopher Wright from Colorado is nominated for Secretary of Energy.
Tulsi Gabbard from Hawaii has been nominated as Director of National Intelligence. Jamieson Greer from Maryland will serve as United States Trade Representative with ambassadorial rank if confirmed. Kelly Loeffler from Georgia has been tapped to lead the Small Business Administration.
John Ratcliffe from Texas is nominated to direct the Central Intelligence Agency. Elise Stefanik, representing New York, has dual nominations: one as U.S. Representative to the United Nations with ambassadorial status, including representation in the Security Council; and another to represent the U.S. at General Assembly sessions during her tenure.
Russell Vought from Virginia is appointed Director of the Office of Management and Budget, while Lee Zeldin from New York will take on the role of Administrator at the Environmental Protection Agency if confirmed by the Senate.
