Eric Green, Chargé d’Affaires, delivered the opening remarks at the third edition of the Young Leaders Conference held on March 2 in Warsaw. The event took place atop the Warsaw Spire and gathered an audience of 150 young students from various high schools and universities across Poland. With a focus on "100 Years of U.S.-Polish Diplomatic Relations," Green emphasized the role of youth in strengthening the ties between Poland and the United States. He also addressed questions regarding the future and resilience of these relations.

After his speech, Green interacted with alumni from U.S. government-funded exchange programs such as FLEX and Transatlantic Future Leaders Forum, who were present at this one-day conference.

The annual conference is organized by high school students from Batory High School in Warsaw under the Ludwik Rajchman Foundation. This foundation is named after a Polish-Jewish physician who founded UNICEF. The aim is to inspire Polish youth. Other speakers included Professor Niall Ferguson from Stanford University via video stream, Jarosław Królewski, CEO of Synerise, former Polish Prime Minister Jan Krzysztof Bielecki, and Polish students from prestigious institutions like Harvard, Stanford, LSE, and Oxford.

For the U.S. Embassy, this event was an opportunity to enhance bilateral relations with a new generation of Poles while marking a century since establishing diplomatic ties between Poland and the United States.
