U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is set to visit Ahmedabad, India, on January 10, 2015. He will attend the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit, an event inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

At the summit, Secretary Kerry will join leading U.S. business executives and innovators. The focus will be on showcasing the importance of U.S. technology in promoting sustainable economic growth across India and the Indo-Pacific region. The summit also aims to strengthen trade and investment ties between the United States and India. Notably, this marks the first time the United States participates in the event as a partner country.

Secretary Kerry's itinerary may include visits to other countries, although any additional stops would be announced separately.
