U.S. Congressional representatives visit Ecuador for trade talks

A group of eight U.S. Congressional Representatives, comprising two Democrats and six Republicans, visited Quito to meet with President Lasso and other Ecuadorian government officials. The focus of the meetings was on discussing bilateral trade relations.

The delegation was led by Representative Jason Smith, a Republican from Missouri. Other members included Terri Sewell (D-Alabama), Jimmy Panetta (D-California), Beth Van Duyne (R-Texas), Carol Miller (R-West Virginia), Michelle Fischbach (R-Minnesota), Mike Carey (R-Ohio), and Kelly Armstrong (R-North Dakota).
