Yuanta Financial Holding Company and the Yuanta Cultural and Educational Foundation have long been involved in educational initiatives in remote areas. Their "Yuanta-FJCU Dreams Take Flight" project, conducted in partnership with Fu Jen Catholic University since 2011, has been recognized by Taiwan's Ministry of Education for its sustained impact.
The project, now in its fourteenth year, has been awarded the Education Sponsorship Gold Award for three consecutive years starting from 2022. It aims to support students from elementary school to graduate level through various programs. Since its inception, 2,315 grants have been provided to students in remote areas to help them pursue their dreams.
Additionally, the project includes a Digital Student Learning Partners Program that assists with after-school studies via online learning. This program has benefited 397 students so far. The initiative also organizes activities that aim to enhance cultural education and local heritage.
Sonia Chung, CEO of Yuanta Foundation, highlighted the project's role in enriching student knowledge and fostering mutual support among participants. Tzu-Han Lu from FJCU’s Taiwan Rural Education and Care Center expressed gratitude for Yuanta's ongoing support and noted the positive cycle created as former beneficiaries return to contribute to their communities.
Yuanta FHC and Yuanta Foundation continue their commitment to educational development through well-structured programs designed to provide comprehensive care and opportunities for students in remote areas.
