A trade mission led by Foreign Agricultural Service Deputy Administrator Mark Slupek has arrived in Cairo, aiming to expand agricultural trade between the United States and Egypt. The delegation, comprising over 40 U.S. business representatives, plans to engage with senior Egyptian government officials and private sector stakeholders.
The visit is organized by the Embassy’s Office of Agricultural Affairs and will feature briefings, one-on-one meetings, and site visits. "The potential for market expansion in Egypt is great," stated Deputy Administrator Slupek. "This is the first time we’ve led a trade mission to North Africa; we’re hoping that we’re going to create some great business opportunities for the people who join us on this mission."
The Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) operates an international network of 93 offices across 171 countries. It plays a key role in identifying opportunities for U.S. exporters and fostering relationships with both government officials and private sector partners globally to enhance agricultural trade and cooperation.
