The United States Embassy in Egypt has announced a contribution of $50,000 to the Egyptian Red Crescent. This funding aims to assist those affected by recent flooding in Egypt. The financial aid will enable the Red Crescent to supply essential items to families in need.
In addition to this monetary support, the U.S. has recently provided six vacuum trucks to the Assiut Potable Water and Sanitation Company. These trucks have been utilized immediately for water and wastewater removal from streets in Assiut.
Efforts by Egyptian government agencies and the Egyptian Red Crescent are underway to deliver emergency assistance across affected areas, including Sohag, Assiut, South Sinai, and Red Sea governorates. Their actions include food distribution, road clearance, and dispatching medical convoys.
"The American people express our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and wish the injured a speedy recovery."
