The U.S. Embassy expressed its condolences for the victims of the attack on the Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Cairo. The embassy condemned the violence, which was directed at Egypt's Christian community. In a statement, it said, "We strongly condemn this hateful act of violence, which targeted Egypt’s Christian community."
The embassy also emphasized its commitment to standing with Egypt against terrorism. It stated, "We stand with Egypt in opposing all acts of terrorism as we support a stable, secure, prosperous future for all Egyptians."
