The U.S. Navy is actively participating in the search for EgyptAir flight MS804, which disappeared over the Mediterranean Sea. Since May 19, the Navy has been conducting search operations in collaboration with the Egyptian Joint Rescue Coordination Center.
The search efforts involve the use of P-3 Orion aircraft, known for their maritime surveillance capabilities. These aircraft have been flying from the U.S. Naval Air Station in Sigonella, Italy, to cover the area where MS804 was last tracked.
Today, two more missions by P-3 Orion aircraft were conducted as part of this ongoing operation. For further updates on these efforts, interested parties can follow @USNavyEurope or @USEmbassyCairo on Twitter or visit the U.S. Navy's official website.
