Dina El Wedidi, a prominent Egyptian musician, is set to tour the United States with her band from September 15 to October 19. The tour, facilitated by the U.S. Embassy in Cairo and the Center Stage arts exchange program, will include performances in ten cities such as Austin, Texas; Lewisburg, Pennsylvania; New York City; and Burlington, Vermont.

El Wedidi is known for her innovative blend of contemporary and traditional Egyptian music. Her previous collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Cairo for the Hakawateya (Storytellers) concert showcased a mix of Egypt's historical and modern musical elements. Her work draws inspiration from folklore, rituals, early 20th-century popular music, and global influences.

The Center Stage arts exchange program has been active since 2012 and aims to introduce new cultural voices into American communities. Supported by the U.S. Department of State, it brings international musicians to perform across the United States while engaging in workshops, discussions, artist exchanges, masterclasses, and community gatherings.

Center Stage operates under the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State and is managed by Lisa Booth Management Inc., with contributions from various organizations including the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art. More information can be found on their website www.centerstageUS.org or through social media channels associated with @USEmbassyCairo.
