The deadline for Egyptian entrepreneurs to apply for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) has been extended to March 22. This summit, held annually, brings together entrepreneurs, investors, and innovative thinkers. The 2019 edition will be hosted in partnership with the Governments of the Netherlands and the United States on June 4-5 in The Hague, Netherlands.
GES aims to support deals and generate outcomes by connecting entrepreneurs with investors. This year’s summit targets entrepreneurs with investment-ready companies or social enterprises seeking international expansion. Approximately 2,000 participants are expected, including 1,200 entrepreneurs, 400 investors, and 400 thought leaders from around the world.
The summit will focus on five areas of innovation: agriculture, connectivity, energy, health, and water. During the event's two days, attendees will engage in discussions, pitch competitions, and matchmaking sessions designed to foster new collaborations and investment opportunities.
"Are you an Egyptian entrepreneur with an investment-ready project? Are you looking to scale up an existing successful product or idea? Then apply today for your spot at the 2019 Global Entrepreneurship Summit," encourages a statement regarding the application process.
GES will provide food and accommodations for three nights in The Hague for attending entrepreneurs. While most entrepreneurs must cover their travel costs to and from the Netherlands themselves, scholarships are available based on need. Other invitees like investors must self-fund their travel expenses. Established investors interested in attending should contact the U.S. Embassy at PressInfoEgypt@state.gov with “Global Entrepreneurship Summit” as the subject line.
Entrepreneurs ready for investment and looking to scale are encouraged to apply before March 22 at https://www.ges2019nl.nl/.
