The United States Embassy in Cairo has issued a statement condemning the recent terrorist attack that occurred in the city. The embassy expressed its strong disapproval of terrorism and paid tribute to the police officers who lost their lives while safeguarding citizens.
"We deplore all forms of terrorism and honor the brave police officers who gave their lives to protect their fellow citizens," stated the embassy.
The embassy extended condolences to the families of those affected and wished for a swift recovery for those injured. "We offer our condolences to their families and wishes for a quick recovery to those injured," it added.
In its message, the United States reaffirmed its support for Egypt in combating terrorism and extremism. "The United States stands with Egypt against terrorism and extremism," concluded the statement.
